The Sanctuary can be a true vessel to hold our gathering. Upon arrival, you will feel a deep welcoming and appreciation for the sacred Earth. Our hope is that this weekend will bring about a renewal of the sacredness and divinity of all of creation. We believe you will feel deep peacefulness within this container.
Change encompasses everything – from what occurs one moment to the next to what seems permanent – like a mountain.
We do not usually consider change itself, but only where we are now and where we are the next moment. Change occurs between those moments, but change itself seems ineffable, unknowable.
We have entered a significant time of world change, and we acutely experience everything changing more rapidly than ever before. What then is change and how do we befriend it?
Civilization unfolds by pulling us into what our conditioned mind sees as fixed. We are in a time of an expansion of the tools of artificial intelligence which separates us even further from bodily presence and change occurring with the rhythms of our body. Change is now moving to an even more abstract level and is becoming the substance of automation.
Now is a perfect time to enter the questions and concerns around change, for we are acutely aware of 2025 as a year of change, portending even greater and more significant changing.
In this gathering, we will enter change more consciously to explore its spiritual nature, perhaps the way the invisible worlds are always engaged with the earth-world. We will engage in practices that will help us become aware of change itself.
Our practices will be blended with community music making / sound healing, labyrinth walks, and Qigong, as well as sacred walking with earth herself.
With comfortable, communal accommodations; delicious organic buffet-style meals (made with love); and the Lotus Kiva cradled within the earth; SWS provides a curated container for going deep into transformative practices and spiritual ceremony — while discovering the spaciousness within and the sense of community all around.
Shared-access to the magical and historic lands including the meditative Koi Pond and deck, water-features, hiking trails, ancient cottonwood trees, petroglyphs, walking trails, and more.
The campus lies on 150 acres of somewhat hilly terrain. There is a gravel road as well as groomed walking trails between the rooms and the main lodge where meals are served. The road is lit at night for safe passage. It is approximately a 5-minute walk to and from most of the guest rooms and the main lodge.
